…..And we’re back again!

Doesn’t it feel good to be back online? Up and running!?

Ok maybe not running, I’m not too athletic.
Technically….people would classify me as a couch potato. Hiding behind my computer, creating packet tracers for your enjoyment!

Speaking of packet tracers! I’ve got another one for you! Wanna see it? Well here it is! In all it’s glory! Click here to download Packet tracer Activity!

ACLS

This time it’s ACCESS CONTROL LISTS with PORT SECURITY!(Switches) I also threw in there some lightly fried fish fillets.

Just kidding, I threw in some Eigrp! HA!

AGAIN, the configurations are easy. Nothing too robust. I keep everything at a basic level for those of you looking to obtain your CCENT/CCNA R&S.

In the coming weeks I will be getting a bit more involved and moving slightly to more “Medium” level lab’s. Some of the labs will look familiar to you, and they WILL be! Most will be the same configurations/set up as the previous labs BUT with a twist. TROUBLESHOOTING techniques! MUWaaHAaHahhAhahaaaa

In order to be able to complete this lab, you’re going to need to know about:

ACL’s
Introduction to Access Lists
Configuring an ACL on a Cisco switch
Standard Access List (ACL) for the Cisco CCNA – Part 1

EIGRP
Routing & Switching, VLAN, EIGRP, IPv4, DHCP
Learn EIGRP for the Cisco CCNA – Part 1
6.2.2.5 Lab – Configuring Basic EIGRP for IPv4

PORT SECURITY
Cisco Switch Port Security Packet Tracer Demonstration – Part 1
How to Configure Port Security on a Cisco Switch

BASIC CONFIGURATIONS
1.1.4.6 Lab – Configuring Basic Router Settings with IOS CLI

It would also help to know the difference between VLANS and ACLS.
What is a VLAN?
VLAN vs ACL in CISCO routing

Good luck and have fun!

Please don’t cheat. Try and complete this on your own. If you must or are totally confused……Click here for the full already completed configuration.

Static Routing & Trouble Shooting. {LAB}

Static routes are an easy way to connect a few nodes together!

How ever, it can become extremely tedious work if your network grows into a larger enterprise!

To be a Network Engineer or not to be?

“All roads lead to Rome…” Routes,  infrastructures, hidden passages, tunnels……railroads.

As I’ve mentioned before, I love Packet Tracer. I love playing with the commands and building new and interesting networks.

Routing & Switching, VLAN, EIGRP, IPv4, DHCP

Packet Tracer from CiscoVlanDhcpEigrpIpv4

I love Packet Tracer.

You can be as creative as you like. You can purposefully destroy your creation and rebuild it, with a new or existing foundation. It’s like a never-ending puzzle, it can go on forever!

It’s not to difficult to master, as long as you can memorize some coding and commands. Everything else is up to you, you choose how you want to connect. There are open and closed doors, locks and chains, clicks and  cliché’s! I’m not just talking about packet tracer any more either, I’m talking about computer networking and network engineering.

Click Here  to download the Packet Tracer Topology/File on “Routing & Switching, VLAN, EIGRP, IPv4, DHCP”.  It’s fully configured and ready to go!
